On the western coast sits a small hamlet called Eastern Town (don't ask; it's complicated) and in it, the proud villa of the Embers Clan. Well, at least it did, until the youngest daughter of the household burned the entire thing to the ground with a single match in the basement.

Such is the story of Gabby Embers. Bounced around between households, Gabby grew tired of that life and set out on her own warpath, burning villages and cities to the ground for fun, despite her brother's pleas for her to stop. Eventually she - mostly - grows tired of that too, but it's hard to live a proper life with a criminal record that big.

When she hears about the Demon Overlord's threat, she approaches April and the others and asks to join their party in hopes that saving the world would clear her name.

Apparently defeating megalomaniac Overlords does just that.

With a clean record granted by the king and nothing better to do, Gabby takes up being a Hero full-time and uses her magic to fight monsters, intimidate her brother, and occasionally set fire to a nearby farm or seven.
